Written and recorded in Midland, Texas after the Great Oil Price Crash of 1986, it was the only song of mine that made the A side of a 45, and got radio play in both Midland and Austin. Thanks to that, I had the surreal experience of pulling up to a fast food drive-through window while my song was playing on the radio. Grand Rapids is the largest city in Michigan with a three syllable name.
